My daughter has said some utterly profound things for a three year old. I challenged her recently on making a choice between two different snacks.
"This one, or this one, Alessondra?"
"Mmm...both."
"Ah, riding the fence, are we?" I asked.
She turned to me sternly, leaned towards my face, looked me right in the eye and said, "We don't ride fences, Daddy. They don't have wheels."
That's
great material, and I'm not ashamed to steal it.
As I've
said before, I'm not certain where I come out on the idea of government bail-outs for "troubled borrowers," but since the ball is in motion and I can't do anything to stop it, we may as well be hopeful that it helps jump-start some market activity in the right direction.
I guess I'm saying let's put some wheels on
this fence, at least.
